On our holiday in New Hampshire in a cottage overlooking a lake in the White Mountains region and fell in love with the area. At that time we had a dream to own our own holiday property and when we got back to the UK we spent hours looking at property on the internet. We arranged a 5 day break back in New Hampshire prior to which we organised, via email, meetings with realtors to view properties. On the last day we met Mike and as the day progressed we wished we had met him earlier as he was inspirational in helping us realise our dream was possible. Being from the UK buying and selling property is obviously different and Mike listened to how we go through processes and advised what was required in the USA. He was willing to work through the legalities with us and use his contacts with banks and lawyers to guide us through. After leaving NH we returned home and decided to put an offer in on a property Mike had shown us, also feeling comfortable that we had met an honest and reliable guy who we felt would be an asset to us in making a purchase. This was new ground for Mike too but no hurdle was too much for him and he found solutions to make the whole process run smoothly and legally, putting us in touch with a very friendly and helpful lawyer and bank manager along the way. As well as his professionalism as a realtor Mike assisted in other aspects of managing our home such as utilities (which are quite different in the White Mountains region to town living in the UK) as well as local knowledge and the wildlife!
